STEVE BETTS, CEO
Steve brings 25 years experience and leadership in marketing communications and multimedia technology to Betts Communication & Design (BC&D). He also co-launched Needs-n-Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization to help underprivileged and terminally ill children.
Prior to forming BC&D in 2001, Steve was Director of Marketing for Mennen, a leading international corporation in the medical device arena; Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Research and Development for Biomedical Systems, a medical device manufacturer and pharmaceutical study processing company for 10 yrs.; and Cardiology Marketing Manager for Novoste, a medical device company specializing in delivery of radiation to the coronary arteries.
Steve earned degrees in Physics and Pre-medicine and a Masters with a marketing major. He is a USAF veteran and has written three published books (Everything Arrhythmia, The Clinical Wizard and The Art of Interviewing.

Steve was hired to help launch the Novoste Beta-Cath System into the US Market. Because of Steve's extensive medical device background, Steve was able to quickly assess the key benefits that differentiated the Novoste product from the competition that helped develop the solid product positioning messaging.
The launch was one of the most successful launches within the medical device industry. Steve's contributions to this launch were significant. Steve prepared a Marketing launch plan, Sales Team training materials, Presentations detailing Clinical effectiveness and benefits and a virtual reality program that demonstrated a vascular brachytherapy procedure within a Cardiac Cathlab.
In addition, Steve created web based electronic files and an e-learning modules to train sales, clinical and hospital teams. He provided strong leadership to the product development teams, great creativity within the marketing communications effort and instant access to valuable information for the sales team and customers.
